SCIPIO — The body of Marden Stone, 84, was discovered in his pickup truck in the Cutler Canyon area.
It appeared Stone had been dead in his truck for some time, yet a cause of death has not been determined, according to the Millard County Sheriff's Office. Authorities, however, do not suspect foul play.
The search for Stone, who had Alzheimer's, began on Wednesday when his family reported him missing and continued daily until his body was located Sunday. Search crews used planes from the Civil Air Patrol, helicopters from the Utah Department of Public Safety and the sheriff's posse. Stone's body was located by searchers in a remote area of Cutler Canyon where his truck appeared to have become inoperable after leaving the roadway, according to the release.
