Qwest Communications has announced an open house job fair on Wednesday, Sept. 2, for customer service and sales positions at its Salt Lake City call center.
The company said it will add jobs are a result of Qwest bringing additional work to its regional customer contact centers, including in Salt Lake City and North Logan. Qwest plans to add as many as 200 jobs across all of its centers by the end of 2009, a company news release said.
The open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 250 E. 200 South (Bell Plaza Building) in Salt Lake City. In addition, anyone interested in applying for the positions can find an application online at www.qwest.jobs with job ID number RP07090001.
The jobs are customer service and sales positions for Qwest's residential products and services, including high-speed Internet, voice and video.
The positions pay $10 per hour during training, and $11 per hour upon successful completion of training. In addition, employees receive medical, dental and vision benefits after 30 days of employment.
