ALPINE — Alpine Days continues today with numerous events celebrating the Utah County city.
Events kick off today with a 6:30 a.m. flag ceremony at City Hall and firefighters breakfast ($16 per family, $3 adults, $2.50 children).
A 5K run/walk starts at 7 a.m. and loops around City Hall (registration $7 day of race), and an around-the-block-toddler-trot for kids will be at 8:30 a.m. on Center Street (registration $3 day of race).
The Alpine Days Parade will start at 10 a.m. from the LDS stake center at Canyon Crest Road and end at Alpine Elementary School. A Classic Car "Show-Off," "Beauty of Our World" art show and quilt and textile show will continue throughout the day.
A bull-riding show is set tonight at 6 at the rodeo grounds (tickets $10 at gate, if available), and fireworks will light the sky at 9:45 p.m. at Burgess Park.
