Catholic Services seeking backpacks

Catholic Community Services will be collecting new backpacks and school supplies for needy children on Friday, Aug. 14, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Donations can be dropped off at either Catholic Community Services, 745 E. 300 South, Salt Lake; or at the United Way Office at 2955 E. 300 South, Ogden.

Rummage sale set in Fruit Heights

Hilltop to offer music camp for grades 1-6

The children's music program of Hilltop United Methodist Church, 985 E. 10600 South, Sandy, is offering a summer music camp to all children of the community in grades one through six, Aug. 17 - 21 from 9 a.m. to noon. There is a registration fee of $10, which counts toward the camp tuition cost of $20. Tuition for families registering more than one child is capped at $30.
