Police raided a massive marijuana farm growing on the east fork of Boulder Creek in Garfield County Thursday morning.
Teams from six law enforcement agencies uprooted about 4,500 marijuana plants and plastic irrigation pipes. A Utah Highway Patrol helicopter flew the plants nearby dump trucks for transport and incineration.
The estimated street value of the marijuana plants is at least several million dollars, according to a Garfield County Sheriff's Office press release.
The farm was discovered by a female hiker three weeks ago. The woman recently underwent training with the Garfield County Sheriff's Office about handling the discovery of marijuana farms.
