If, as noted in a Deseret News editorial (Aug. 1), "people are gambling with their own lives — playing risk-and-reward at stoplights," then perhaps it is time to increase the "risk" by significantly increasing the penalties for running red lights. Higher fines, driver's license privileges taken from repeat gamblers.
Perhaps it's time for the Legislature to revisit cameras at red lights.
