Gala to raise funds for Living Planet
The Living Planet Aquarium's annual fundraiser gala, Scales & Tails 2009, will be held Aug. 8.
The event is to help raise funds for a new exhibit called "Penguins!" It will take visitors to the South Atlantic Ocean on an exploration of the Falkland Islands to learn about several species of penguins, such as the king, gentoo, rockhopper, magellanic and macaroni.
The gala will be held at La Caille, 9565 S. Wasatch Blvd. It includes drinks, menu items, a live and silent auction and live music by Johnny & The Rebels.
Tickets are $125 per person or $1,250 per table of 10. Guests must be 21 and older to attend.
