SAN FRANCISCO — Cliff Lee pitched a four-hitter in his National League debut, carrying a no-hit bid into the sixth inning and even adding two hits with the bat, and the Philadelphia Phillies felt an immediate impact two days after acquiring the left-hander from Cleveland, beating the San Francisco Giants 5-1 on Friday night.

Jayson Werth homered to put Philadelphia ahead early and added a two-run single in the seventh, Raul Ibanez drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh for an insurance run and Lee did the rest.

He tossed his 11th career complete game, fourth this season and third in four starts. Lee's line: one run, six strikeouts, two walks, 109 pitches and 78 strikes. He was done in 2 hours, 39 minutes, getting a hug from catcher Paul Bako afterward.

DODGERS 5, BRAVES 0: At Atlanta, Jason Schmidt gave up one hit in his longest start in more than two years, Andre Ethier hit a homer and drove in four runs and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves.

Schmidt, Ramon Troncoso, George Sherrill and James McDonald combined on a three-hitter. McDonald retired the final six batters.

ROCKIES 5, REDS 3: At Cincinnati, Chris Iannetta and Carlos Gonzalez hit home runs on consecutive pitches leading off the eighth inning to lift the Colorado Rockies to a 5-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Iannetta hit a full-count pitch from reliever David Weathers (2-3) into the left field seats for his 12th homer of the season to snap a 3-3 tie.

MARLINS 5, CUBS 2: At Miami, John Baker drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out single in the eighth inning, and the Florida Marlins beat the Chicago Cubs.

Pinch-hitter Wes Helms followed Baker with a two-run double. Chris Volstad and three relievers combined on a seven-hitter against the Cubs.
