SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Salt Lake Bees scored five runs in the eighth inning to snap a 2-2 tie and went on to defeat Sacramento 7-2 on Friday night.

The Bees loaded the bases in the eighth with two singles and a walk and then took a 3-2 lead when Adam Pavkovich was hit by a pitch. Gary Patchett singled to right to make it 4-2 and Abel Nieves followed with a two-run single to center. Brad Coon closed out the scoring with a sacrifice fly to make it 7-2.

Jeremy Hill (2-3) got the win after allowing Sacramento to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh. Former River Cats pitcher Brad Knox had an outstanding start for the Bees, as he allowed just one run on five hits in six innings of work with four strikeouts and two walks.

ANGELS RECALL RODRIGUEZ, WILSON: The Angels announced Friday they have recalled infielder Sean Rodriguez and catcher Bobby Wilson from the Bees. In two additional moves, the Bees also announced that the team has recalled catcher Flint Wipke from Double-A Arkansas and activated infielder Luis Figueroa from the disabled list. Wilson, 26, has appeared in one game for the Angels this season without a plate appearance. In 76 games for the Bees in 2009, Wilson is hitting .275 with 13 doubles, one triple, eight home runs and 40 RBI. Rodriguez, 24, has appeared in nine games for the Angels this season, posting two hits in 17 at-bats, including a solo home run. In 81 games for the Bees in 2009, he is hitting .290 with 14 doubles, four triples, 23 home runs and 79 RBIs. Wipke, 26, appeared in one game for the Bees this season, hitting .250 and scoring one run. He played in five games for the Bees in 2008. The Bees placed Figueroa on the disabled list on April 30 with a broken left fibula. Figueroa, 35, has appeared in 15 games for the Bees in 2009, hitting .250 with three doubles and four RBIs. In four games with the Arizona League Angels during his rehab stint, Figueroa batted .467 (7-for-15) with two runs scored, one double and three RBIs.
