After reviewing all of the information that I can find about health-care reform, I absolutely believe that a single-payer plan is the only alternative that will work. We have the most expensive, least effective system in the world today. The single-payer system could be a real starting point to change our system in other beneficial ways as well. Like preventative care, natural alternatives to the expensive drugs that cause more harm than good and education in proper diet and lifestyle. We have an epidemic of obesity and I believe that a single-payer system would have the clout to move us forward in that direction as well. I am convinced that it would save us all enormous amounts in wasted premiums and shoddy care.
