COALVILLE — The Summit County Fair will celebrate its centennial with a week of special events.

The celebration will begin with a dog show at 10 a.m. Saturday. Next week, the county will host barrel-racing competitions, booths, animal contests, a hypnotist and an ATV rodeo.

The fair will wrap up with a rodeo and fireworks on Aug. 8.

To recognize the fair's 100th year, special medallions will be sold that replicate the first-place tokens from 1909. A special quilt will also be on display, submitted by the Loose Threads Quilt Guild.
