IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — The Orem Owlz built an 8-0 lead after three innings and cruised to an eventual 9-3 victory over the Chukars.
Richard Cates collected three RBIs on a 3-for-5 outing.
Jeremy Berg (1-0) picked up the victory for the Owlz, while Carson Andrew paced Orem's pitching performance with four strikeouts.
Note: Rain postponed Ogden's game against Casper.
