PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — PGA Professional Steve Schneiter of Schneiter's Pebblebrook Links in Sandy will join a group of 20 PGA Professionals earning berths in the 91st PGA Championship.
One of pro golf's four majors, the tournament will be held Aug. 13-16, at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.
Schneiter, 45, will be competing in his 10th PGA Championship. He earned his berth in the 156-player field by finishing in the top 20 on July 1 at the 42nd PGA Professional National Championship in Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M. He tied for second in the tournament behind Mike Small of Champaign, Ill.
