OGDEN — The ninth annual "Steppin' for Life" 5K walk/run to benefit the Northern Utah Coalition HIV/AIDS Project is scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at Lorin Farr Park.
The event is designed to educate the community about the growing numbers of HIV and AIDS cases, particularly among African-American women and Latinos. All are invited to participate and dogs on leashes are welcome.
Participants will travel the park's trail, with prizes given to the fastest runners in both male and female divisions. A raffle drawing will also be held. Participants are encouraged to register in advance at the coalition's office, 536 24th St., Suite 2B, Ogden. Registration will also be available on location the day of the walk. Cost is $20 and kids under age 12 are free. All proceeds will be used to fund client services and outreach programs
