Toddler who was run over leaves hospital
SARATOGA SPRINGS — A 2-year-old boy run over in a church parking lot has been released from the hospital.
Saratoga Springs police said the boy was crossing the parking lot of an LDS meeting house at 2105 N. Providence Drive around 12:30 p.m. Sunday when a car backed out and ran over him.
The boy was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center in critical condition then upgraded to critical but stable condition, said Saratoga Springs Police Cpl. Aaron Rosen. By Monday afternoon, the toddler had been released to go home.
"He was a very lucky boy," Rosen said. "He's back home with his family."
The case was investigated as an accident.
