PROVO — Due to record sales, BYU football season-ticket sales are being placed on hold to accommodate other ticketing requirements while single-game sales are slated to begin Aug. 10, the university announced Monday.
"Season tickets have sold at a record pace for the 2009 season," said BYU ticket manager Clark Livsey. "To date, 39,571 season-ticket packages have been sold, which is nearly 200 more than the total sold by the end of the 2008 season."
Livsey said that due to the record number of tickets sold, season-ticket sales are being put on hold to accommodate obligations for student all-sport passes and the visiting team allotments for high-demand games such as Florida State and Utah.
Single-game tickets will go on sale via BYUtickets.com beginning on Aug. 10. Single-game sales will be made available according to the following schedule:
Aug. 10 — Legacy Cougar Club members.
Aug. 11 — Cougar Club members.
Aug. 12 — Season-ticket holders.
Aug. 13 — General public.
