OGDEN — Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that sent an Ogden teen to the hospital Sunday evening.
Just after 8 p.m., the boy, 17, was walking by the end of West Ogden Park, 751 W. 24th St., when he heard a vehicle approaching and someone inside that vehicle yelling at him, Ogden Police Lt. John Stubbs said.
"A man, who the teen described as in his late teens or early 20s, continues to yell and him and points an unknown handgun out the passenger window and shoots four or five times," Stubbs said.
The teenager was able to dodge a couple of the bullets, but one grazed his left side and another hit him in the right leg, according to Stubbs.
The teenager went to a relative's home nearby to call for medical help. He was taken to McKay-Dee Hospital for treatment. Neither wound was life-threatening, Stubbs said.
Stubbs said there is a possibility the shooting was gang-related, but it is still under investigation.
