The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City says rainfall is possible Saturday afternoon and evening from Utah County to the southern mountains of Wyoming.
Some of the storms will be slow moving and may lead to localized flash floods along dry washes, slot canyons and small streams. Urban flooding is also possible in Northern Utah where heavy rains are expected to linger, according to the National Weather Service.
Lightning strikes and gusty winds are also likely. The Nation Weather Service is advising all people traveling outdoors Saturday to keep their eyes on the sky and to seek shelter at the first sign of threatening weather.
Rainfall is also possible in many sections of southern Utah.
