The federal government has no constitutional right to be involved in an individual citizen's life. That is the right of the states. Before the Income Tax Amendment of 1913, the feds stayed out of a citizen's life. But gradually Congress saw they could get away with it, so they instituted Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and now health care. Notice how the cost of government has increased.
This is "creeping socialism."
We must stop it.
