Utah Jazz: Media still mulling over Boozer

From the New York Times: "Tons of reasons why Boozer to (New York) won't happen, but start (with) this: Jazz own N.Y.'s 2010 (first-round draft) pick, unprotected.

Why help Knicks make playoffs?"

From ESPN.com: "With Miami clearly focused on other targets, most notably Boozer via trade and exhausting every last hope of bringing Lamar Odom back, (Allen) Iverson appears to have no option that can trump (the Los Angeles Clippers) in terms of money and market."

From Bulls.com: "I'm not sure the Jazz is interested in Tyrus (Thomas) as he's going into a contract season to be restricted and would require a payday to keep. ... To make this work, it probably would cost (Kirk) Hinrich and Tyrus. There would be issues of depth without Hinrich, but he's hardly the roadblock to a great player. The larger point is you have no idea if you can retain Boozer, and if you don't you are in trouble down the road with a lesser team without Hinrich and Tyrus. Plus, Boozer has some major flaws. We are not talking about a guy like (Dwyane) Wade who impacts the game.

"You don't hear much regret in Utah of Boozer leaving. You don't hear much from teammates. ... I know the fans seem to want a new toy. But once you get a big new toy in the NBA and it doesn't work, you don't get the chance to get another. You better be pretty darned sure it's the right guy. I don't see where you go with 6-8 power forwards, and pretty much when I've seen Boozer against guys with size he's spent most of the time shooting fadeaways."
