Krishna Temple to hold llama festival

The 15th annual Llama Fest will be held at Krishna Temple and Utah Valley Llama Farm, two miles south of Spanish Fork on Main Street, today. Festivities start at 4 p.m. Go to www.utahvalleyllamas.com for more details.

Baptist church will celebrate 61st year

The First Baptist Church of Provo, 1144 W. Columbia Lane, invites the public to Sunday School and worship, Vacation Bible School, and a picnic celebrating the church's 61st anniversary.

Its next worship service is Sunday, July 19, 11 a.m. and the potluck picnic will be held immediately after services.

Also, the Boomerang Express Vacation Bible School for all ages — from babies to adults — will be held at the church from Sunday, July 19 to Thursday, July 23 at 6:30-8:30 p.m. A missions group from Sunnyvale Baptist Church in Texas will lead the Vacation Bible School. Special music and treats will be provided.

Trappist monastery to host free retreat

The Holy Trinity Trappist Catholic Monastery for men in Huntsville will host a "Live-in Experience" vocational retreat on Aug. 5-9. There is no fee. Call 800-221-1807 for more information.

Orem, Provo churches plan a joint service

The Orem Community Church will host a joint worship service with the Provo Community Church beginning with a pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. The Rev. Daniel Haas will speak on "Dance Before the Lord" at 10 a.m. Worship Service at Orem Community Church, 130 N. 400 East.

As this is a joint worship service, there will be no services held at the Provo Community Church this week.

Unitarian church's forum continues
