My husband is a small-business owner. Last night, he told me he was going to have to change health-insurance plans because it would save the business $36,000 this coming year. I choked. I feel for those who do not have any health insurance, and I do not have any answers except that I am adamantly opposed to President Barack Obama's health nightmare being discussed. I write this in frustration. Is the CEO of Intermountain Healthcare really worth his million-dollar-plus salary? A CEO of an out-of-state health organization recently looked out over the parking lot of his employees and asked a person in his office if they thought the employees were being paid too much, evidenced by the high-end cars adorning the parking lot. Maybe it's not the health care, but those who administer it that have driven this situation as it now stands. How much can we carry on our backs before we break and crumble under the stress?
I believe in free enterprise, but somewhere we have lost sight of prudence and honesty.
