PORTLAND — Portland scored five runs in the bottom of sixth inning, as the Beavers rallied for an 8-4 PCL win over the Salt Lake Bees on Thursday night.

The Bees led 4-1 with one out in the sixth when Portland loaded the bases against Salt Lake starter Mike MacDonald (5-10) with two singles and a walk. Drew Macias doubled home two runs to pull the Beavers to within a run. After Daniel Davidson struck out Chad Huffman, Francisco Rodriguez came on and allowed a game-tying single to Yamid Haad and a bloop double to Danny Putnam that put Portland ahead to stay.

MacDonald (5-10) took the loss, as he allowed five runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings with five strikeouts and one walk.

The Bees trailed 1-0 in the third when they loaded the bases with an infield single and two bunt singles. Terry Evans' groundout tied the game and Salt Lake took the lead when an errant throw on a double play ball brought home two runs.

Brad Coon led the Bees with two hits, while Nate Sutton, Evans and Adam Pavkovich each drove a run.
