Salt Lake City police are looking for a man who robbed two guests and a staff member in a hotel lobby.
Just after 5 a.m. Thursday, a man wearing a ski mask, dark-blue hoodie and jeans walked into the Hilton at 5151 W. Wiley Post Way, spotted two visitors near the lobby entrances and demanded money, said Salt Lake police detective Dennis McGowan. The man was carrying a handgun, he said.
The couple gave the man a purse and wallet. An employee then walked out from a back room, prompting the gunman to jump over the counter and open drawers, McGowan said.
The man grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawers and ran out of the building. No injuries were reported. Investigators believe the man had a car waiting in the parking garage.
Anyone with information on the robbery can call police at 801-799-INFO (4636).
