HUNTSVILLE — A man has been charged with murder in the December slaying of a Layton woman.

The body of Noemi Rodriguez, 26, was found at the Huntsville Cemetery on Dec. 26.

Authorities believe Gutberto Heras-Corrales fled to Mexico shortly after Rodriguez's body was found covered in snow at the cemetery.

Weber County Sheriff's Lt. John Morrow says an arrest warrant was issued for Heras-Corrales on Friday. Court records show he was charged in the case on Monday.

Heras-Corrales also has been charged with aggravated arson in a fire that destroyed Rodriguez's trailer days before her body was discovered.
