PROVO — Police are asking for help locating a man they say robbed a Walgreen's pharmacy early Thursday.
Just before 3:40 a.m., the man, who is described as 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall with a slightly heavy build, entered the store at 1315 N. State in Provo and demanded OxyContin, said Provo Police Capt. Cliff Argyle.
The man said he had a weapon but didn't show anything to the pharmacist, who handed over an unknown quantity of medication, police said.
The man, who has a thin beard and light-colored hair, left on foot wearing a blue baseball cap, a dark hoodie, tan pants and black skateboard shoes.
Police are reviewing video surveillance from the store and asking anyone with information to call 801-852-6215 or detective Ron Gibson at 801-852-6220.
This is the same pharmacy that was allegedly robbed June 29 by Jack Rader, 23, of Las Vegas, who police say spent several hours chatting with employees before pulling out a gun, demanding OxyContin and fleeing the store with numerous bottles of drugs. He was later arrested.
