Utah Jazz sign point guard Ronnie Price to a new deal

DAVIS AN OPTION: If the Jazz don't match the offer sheet backup power forward Paul Millsap signed with Portland, which now seems unlikely, or if they don't get a power forward back in any forthcoming trade for starting power forward Carlos Boozer, signing Boston Celtics restricted free agent forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis to an offer sheet is an option to which Utah would seriously consider turning.
But they're not alone in having fondness for Davis, as Detroit supposedly likes the ex-Louisiana State big man, too.
The Pistons cleared some extra team payroll salary cap space with a trade Monday that sent guard Arron Afflalo and forward Walter Sharpe to Denver for a second-round draft choice, though at roughly $3 million to start next season they still might not have enough to dissuade Boston from matching any offer.
HE SAID IT: Boozer, whose knee was surgically repaired during the season, when asked Tuesday by Chicago radio station WMVP if he can stay healthy next season: "Absolutely. I've had a couple of spells, injuries that I can't control. But my body feels 100 percent. I'm healthy and doing really well. I'm looking forward to next season so much to prove to everybody that I can play through the whole season and at the same time to dominate again."
