Randall King is absolutely correct (Readers' Forum, July 9). The Federal Reserve is a chief contributor to the current financial crisis. Its daft economic policies brought on the crisis that we now endure. While the "Audit the Fed" bill (HR1207) in the House of Representatives has more than enough sponsors for passage, there are currently only eight sponsors of a companion bill in the Senate (S604). Neither Sen. Orrin Hatch nor Sen. Bob Bennett is a sponsor. Rep. Jim Matheson has failed to sponsor the bill in the House.
Any senator or representative worth their weight in dryer lint would support this bill.
The Federal Reserve is a metastasizing cancer on the United States economy. It must be stopped.
