Real Salt Lake plays hardball, so Movsisyan stays put

"For myself, life moves on and I play soccer," said Movsisyan, who's scored four goals this season and has come into form over the past month. "I'm happy here. I'm playing. I can't complain about anything. I would be complaining if I wasn't playing, but I'm always up for big challenges and I think making the playoffs is a big challenge for us. I'm up for it ... I wanna go out on a high."

Considering that RSL would have only had four strikers to play in a 4-3-3 formation had Movsisyan left, Lagerwey and coach Jason Kreis would have been scrambling to sign new attacking players if MLS had struck a deal with Randers. Following Friday's announcement, however, Lagerwey said RSL is in the process of bringing in at least one — and probably two — attacking players anyway.

Lagerwey said RSL has an offer on the table for one player and that an offer for a second player could be tendered shortly — if it didn't happen already Friday afternoon. RSL's GM wouldn't divulge who the club is looking at, other than to say that it will likely be "an international attacking player" or players.

Considering that RSL is looking for guys who could fit into the team quickly, the club may be considering signing Rachid El Khalifi, a wide player from the Netherlands who trialed with RSL last winter. A source close to RSL said Friday he may be one of the players that Real is pursuing.

When asked where El Khalifi was near the end of Friday's press briefing, Lagerwey responded, "I don't know."

Yura is far from our "star player".

The sooner he leaves, the better.
