Lobbyist to talk about Legislature

The summer forum at First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake, 569 S. 1300 East continues Sunday, July 12, at 10 a.m., with "The Art of the Lobby at the Utah State Legislature," by Lincoln Shurtz, lobbyist for the Utah League of Cities and Towns.

Baptists offer Bible school for all ages

The New Pilgrim Baptist Church, 6196 S. Redwood Road, will hold Vacation Bible School, July 13-July 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. every night.

This year's theme is Boomerang Express. Learners will travel to the Land Down Under for nonstop action, as they learn that no matter where they go or what they do in life, it all comes back to Jesus. Catholic Day is Sunday at Lagoon

The 101st All State Catholic Day at Lagoon will be Sunday, July 12, at 11 a.m., at the Farmington park's Canyon Terrace.

CALM plans annual conference

The Community After Leaving Mormonism's Salt Lake area support group will meet on Sunday, July 12, at 12:30 p.m., at 6876 S. 20th East (Highland Dr.)

The Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research will hold its 11th annual conference on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 6-7, at the South Towne Exposition Center in Sandy.
