Real Salt Lake striker Yura Movsisyan will remain with the club through the end of this season, RSL GM Garth Lagerwey confirmed this morning.
"Yura is staying," said Lagerery.
Movsisyan has signed a pre-contract to play for Randers FC of Denmark when his contract to play for RSL expires at the end of the calendar year, and Randers had been in negotiations with MLS to bring Movsisyan to Europe now. In the end, though, MLS and Randers weren't able to strike a deal, and Movsisyan will therefore stay with RSL for the remainder of the 2009 season.
Movsisyan has scored 16 goals in 71 career MLS appearances. Known as much for his potential as for his inconsistency, Movsisyan has scored four goals for RSL this season and has been coming into form over the last month.
