Science is not settled

The phrase "the science is settled" may be stated by a politician or activist but not by a true scientist. There are too many examples of changed or discarded scientific theories and too many lone scientists and discoverers who have successfully challenged the dogma of their day. For anyone to claim that human-caused global warming is a fact and the matter is closed is to assert that they are smarter and more knowledgeable than any who came before and, indeed, than any who will come after.
