Earmarks unbridled

An article in today's Deseret News reports that Sen. Bob Bennett has procured $9 million in earmarks for Utah projects. What quid pro quo did he participate in to get this money? Did he have to promise to vote for the study of pig flatulence, or a museum in New York commemorating Woodstock? As I would not have my hard-earned money funding projects in other states, neither do I want other states' tax money for our funding.

We are in a national financial pickle in large part because of unbridled earmarks, which Sen. Bennett is only too happy to perpetuate.
