I read Pat Reavy's story (July 8) about police officers having to deliver tragic news to families and, of course, remembered every second of the day they came to me and my dear little children.
I can never thank Col. Nordfelt and trooper Zdunich of the Utah Highway Patrol enough for their loving care. This one was especially difficult because my husband was one of their own. Now, 27 years later, we still have a special connection for having gone through that terrible hour together. Deepest thanks to all who step up and take this responsibility and give their hearts to others like me. And thanks for the "good cry" this generated.
