LAYTON — A semitrailer lost a load of asphalt on northbound I-15 Wednesday, temporarily closing all four lanes, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

UHP trooper Cameron Roden said there were no injuries caused by the spill, which happened about noon near Layton Hills Mall.

The Utah Department of Transportation was working to re-open the interstate. Two of the four lanes are currently open, according to UDOT's Adan Carrillo. All lanes were expected to be clear by about 2:30 p.m.
