OREM — Meals-on-Wheels needs backup, on-call volunteers for the summer in several Utah County areas.
Volunteers work for an hour once a week delivering lunch between 10:30 a.m. and noon to seniors 60 and older who are unable to leave their homes without assistance. The routes of delivery are in a limited radius, and volunteers drop off eight to 12 meals.
Meals-on-Wheels serves 600 seniors living in Wasatch, Utah and Summit counties, said Liz Merrell, volunteer coordinator for the program.
If interested, contact Merrell at 801-229-3821 or emerrell@mountainland.org or apply online at www.mountainland.org/volunteer.
