Bryce Molder closed with a 68 to finish alone in fourth, which came with a $288,000 check that was worth more than money alone. It put him atop a special money list that ended Sunday, earning a trip to the British Open. The other spot from the money list went to Paul Goydos.

Brandt Snedeker, finally healthy after a rib injury, had a 68-67 weekend and tied for fifth with U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover. Snedeker also earned a spot at Turnberry as the leading player among the top five not already eligible for the British Open.

Mahan had to settle for his third straight top 10, though he put on quite a show, even if hardly anyone noticed.

Most of the 40,000 fans at Congressional scrambled for a sight of the present and the future — Woods and Kim — until Mahan started dropping in putts from everyone on the back nine.

"I think everybody was watching AK and Tiger and expecting kind of a battle there and I knew I just had to go low today," Mahan said. "I figured great players up on the leader board like that, I figured they'd make it to at least 13 or 14 under."

He was in the family dining area when he finished, watching with Woods' wife, Elin, and their 2-year-old daughter, Sam. Woods missed a 10-foot putt on the 14th and Mahan said he jokingly cheered in a light moment.

But he knew better.

"I mean, he's pretty good," Mahan said. "He knows what he's doing. He knows how to play this game better than anybody."

Kim found that out quickly.

JAMIE FARR OWENS CORNING CLASSIC: At Sylvania, Ohio, South Korea's Eunjung Yi holed a 10-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a playoff with Morgan Pressel to win the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic for her first LPGA Tour title.

The 21-year-old Yi, four strokes ahead at the start of the day and six in front after three holes, finished with an even-par 71 to match Pressel (67) at 18-under 266 on the Highland Meadows course. Pressel, chasing her third career victory, holed a wedge for eagle on the par-5 17th hole to tie Yi.

Michelle Wie (64), Seon Hwa Lee (67) and Song-Hee Kim (69) tied for third at 16 under. Top-ranked Lorena Ochoa (68) tied for eighth at 14 under.

FRENCH OPEN: At Saint-Quentin-En-Yvelines, France, Germany's Martin Kaymer won the French Open, beating England's Lee Westwood with an 18-foot par putt on the first hole of a playoff.

The 24-year-old Kaymer, a three-time winner on the European tour, closed with a 3-under 68 to match Westwood (65) at 13-under 271 on Le Golf National's Albatross Course. In the playoff on the par-4 18th, Kaymer's approach shot barely cleared the greenside lake, while Westwood's ball found the water. Westwood finished with a double bogey.

England's Ian Poulter (67) was third, three strokes back.
