PROVO — BYU men's soccer coach Chris Watkins got just enough effort from his team to earn three points against Ogden on Saturday night.

After the 1-0 result over the Outlaws, the coach expressed relief over the sometimes sloppy win that kept the Cougars' small playoff hopes alive.

"We'll just take the three points and run home," Watkins laughed.

With the season winding down, the match was the fourth meeting between the two teams. Their familiarity has bred a rivalry, and as a result, a heightened level of physical play.

That increased level of play paid off. BYU forward Zack DeFrancis' score on a free kick was the game's only goal.
