Ever-changing Salt Lake Bees lose in 12 innings

A deadlock ensued until the 12th inning. Tacoma broke the tie on back-to-back sacrifice flies by former University of Utah star Chris Shelton and Bryan LaHair.

The Bees managed to put two runners on with no outs in the bottom of the inning, but neither advanced beyond second.

The series continues tonight at 7:05. Postgame fireworks will follow for the second consecutive evening.

Salt Lake RHP Brad Knox (4-4, 5.91 ERA) and Tacoma LHP Chris Seddon (4-5, 4.67 ERA) are the scheduled starters.

BEES WAX: Saturday's game opened Salt Lake's longest homestand of the season. The Bees are hosting games daily through July 12 . . . The attendance was 15,608 . . . Outfielder Brad Coon has been named the Angels Minor League Player of the Month for June. Patchett earned Defensive Player of the Month recognition.
