Not family-values party
Republican politicians have gotten away for far too long proclaiming themselves to be champions of "family values."
If recent sex scandals involving men like Sen. John Ensign and Gov. Mark Sanford — not to mention the exploits of former Congressman Mark Foley, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and others — have proven anything, it is that Republicans are no better practitioners of what they preach than people from other parties. They have just been able to convince a large portion of the nation's populace to drink their Kool-Aid.
