S.L. cathedral celebrates 100 years
"A Century of Faith and Service, 1909-2009" will commemorate the centennial of the Catholic Cathedral of the Madeleine this August.

Public invited to monastery for jubilee
The Sisters of Mount Benedict Monastery will celebrate the 60th Jubilee of religious profession of Prioress Sister Danile Knight, Sunday, July 5, 2-4 p.m., at the Ogden Monastery, 6000 S. 1065 East, Ogden. The public is invited.
Girl Scouts CEO to speak at forum

The 101st All State Catholic Day at Lagoon will be Sunday, July 12, 11 a.m. at Farmington park's Canyon Terrace.

Son Rock Kids Camp sponsored in Lindon

'Live-in Experience' offered at monastery
The Holy Trinity Trappist Catholic Monastery for men in Huntsville will host a "Live-in Experience" vocational retreat on Aug. 5-9. There is no fee. Call 1-800-221-1807 for more information.
Bible school to feature other cultures
Vacation bible School at Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 E. 3300 South, will be "Jesus Loves the Little Children, All The Little Children of the World," on Aug. 17-21, 9 a.m. to noon daily. It is free and open to the public.
Activities include crafts such as beading, sampling foods like fry bread, playing Native American games, singing songs and hearing stories. We will learn how closely Native American values of respecting creation, importance of family and elders, humility and prayer are related to Biblical values.
