Utah Grizzlies: Team offers qualifying offers to eight players

WEST VALLEY CITY — The Utah Grizzlies have issued qualifying offers to eight players from last season. Players who signed contracts prior to this past season with either the New York Islanders or their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport are not eligible to receive qualifying offers from Utah.

FORWARD

Tom May (All-Star in rookie season in 2008-2009. 10-game goal scoring streak from January 16-February 16 was the longest in team history. Led team with 31 goals.)

Dan McDonald (Signed out of University of Ottawa March 4. Registered seven goals and six assists for 13 points in 16 regular season games.)

Peder Skinner (Had two goals and five assists in 11 games after being acquired from Reading in three-team trade on March 12.)

Mike Walsh (Had 13 goals and 22 assists in 47 games with Utah during 08-09 while being called-up to Grand Rapids in the AHL twice.)

DEFENSEMEN

Jordan Hart (Played in 116 games the last two seasons with Utah and all 20 playoff games.)

Slavormir Tomko (Rights acquired from Elmira to complete trade on June 16.)

Tyler Wooddisse (Recorded 1st pro hat trick on March 8 in Phoenix as Utah won 6-4. Acquired from Dayton January 13.)

James Sanford (Suspended by team in January.)
