The recall applies to those two flavors with use/freeze by dates of June 17, June 18, June 19 and June 26, 2009.

The affected products have been removed from Costco shelves and are past the last use/freeze by date of June 26. Customers with questions can call the Morton's of Omaha recall hotline at 888-952-9105.

In an advisory issued Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said "most of those reported ill had consumed ground beef, and many reported that it was undercooked."

The contamination resulted in a Class I recall from U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service, which means the beef poses "a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death."
