SANTAQUIN — The wife of former child star Gary Coleman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly trashing Coleman's bedroom and saying he deserved it.

Santaquin police said they were called to a "family problem" and found that Coleman had been locked out after a fight. When they arrived, officers tried to talk to Shannon Price in the couple's driveway but she began cursing at officers and her husband, according to a police affidavit.

Police said Price's "tumultuous" actions were done in front of several people on the sidewalk who were walking past the house. They asked her to calm down, and she would for a while, but would quickly explode again, the affidavit states.

While outside, she allegedly admitted to officers that she had "thrashed" Coleman's room.

Officers confirmed the damage when they found Coleman's dresser tipped over, the drawers removed and thrown around, clothing thrown around, a DVD stand tipped over and DVDs thrown around.

Price went into the room with the officers and allegedly told Coleman, "You deserve this after how you treated me," and then began picking up the mess, according to the affidavit.

She didn't get very far before she was taken back outside, handcuffed and taken to the Utah County Jail.

She was booked in at 8:32 p.m. for investigation of domestic violence/criminal mischief and disorderly conduct and had posted the $1,205 bail by 10:42 p.m.

Coleman gained fame for his role in the TV show "Diff'rent Strokes." He met Price while in Utah filming the movie "Church Ball."

Price and Coleman have been in the news lately because of a lawsuit filed against them by a man who alleges he was roughed up and run over by Coleman outside a Payson bowling alley. Lance Rushton also alleges Price got angry when he took a picture of Coleman and his truck with his cell-phone camera and says she stole his phone and threw it in Coleman's truck before they drove off.
