Utah firms expect IT budget growth

About one-third of surveyed Utah companies expect their information technology budgets and staffs to grow in the next six months, according to a survey by staffing company ConsultNet.

Results of the "2009 Technology Staffing Outlook," based on a survey of Utah hiring managers for IT- and engineering-related workers, indicate that 30 percent of surveyed Utah companies expect the budget growth, while 34 percent expect staffing increases. Only 15 percent expect a budget decrease and only 6 percent anticipate small staffs during the next six months.

The report is available at www.consultnet.com.
