Course description: Located on the Alpine/Highland border just north of Lone Peak High School, the course is hidden mostly from adjacent homes with fairways lined with pines and other shade trees. The tight fairways, protected by bunkers, require accuracy off the tee, and the greens can be extremely quick when putting from above the hole, but always roll true.

Fun fact: Alpine's members have three new holes to play this summer on the back nine (11, 12 and 13) after a redesign by John Fought — which was required to accommodate the widening of 4800 West on the course's east side.

Holes to remember: No. 10 has always been a favorite at Alpine because of the risk/reward of cutting the corner. It's a short par 4 that is driveable for long hitters, with the green protected by a pond to the left and out of bounds right. The old No. 11 was the club's signature hole because of its difficulty, but the new No. 11 is just as challenging now that it doglegs right from the fairway, which still brings the creek into play. The tight par-5 14 is another make-or-break hole.
