Like 4-day workweek?
It happened again! I called a particular state office to get some information I needed right then, only to get a recorded message saying that the office was closed.
Then I remembered. It was Friday! No one can get any information from any state office on Friday.
I'm just curious. Does the four-day workweek for state offices irritate, frustrate or annoy anyone else? Recently, I read an article in the Deseret News by Lisa Riley Roche (June 18), reporting that state government is postponing the decision whether to continue the "pilot four-day workweek for state employees set to end in August" so they can study the issue further. Apparently, they can assess the cost savings, but no funding is currently available to "calculate the satisfaction level of the consumers of state services."
Perhaps the public's only chance to express their level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction may be in letters to the editor. Let your opinion be known!
