BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful Mayor Joe Johnson will have at least one opponent going into this year's election season.
Both Johnson, in his second term as mayor, and Bountiful resident Nicholas D. Price filed as candidates for mayor Wednesday, the first day of a two-week filing period.
Councilman Fred Moss, who was first elected in 2002, has filed as a candidate for a third term in office.
One other council seat, held by councilman Tom Tolman, is also up for election this year.
For information on how to file as a candidate in Bountiful, call 801-298-6115 or visit www.bountifulutah.gov.
The filing period ends July 15.
