BOUNTIFUL — A 1-year-old boy was critically injured Tuesday evening when he was run over by a vehicle in the driveway of his home.
Police believe the toddler was at the home near 900 East and 1200 North at about 6 p.m. when he crawled out a side door of the residence, Bountiful Police Sgt. Gary Koehn said.
The door led onto a concrete driveway and without anyone knowing, the boy crawled outside and behind the tire of a vehicle, according to Koehn.
A relative was backing out and ran over the boy. The child was flown to University Hospital where he was reported to be in critical condition, Koehn said.
