BYU football: Offensive linemen Mulitalo and Tautu verbally commit
It's only the last day of June, but BYU's class of 2010 is already taking shape.
The Cougar football program has secured 18 verbal commitments toward the class it looks to sign next February.
The most recent commitments have come from Lone Peak High linebacker Sae Tautu and Granger High lineman Manu Mulitalo. Tautu, a 6-foot-3, 215-pounder, was the MVP of the All-Poly camp and named the most outstanding lineman at BYU's padded camp last week.
Mulitalo, who is listed as 6-foot-3, 315 pounds, earned MVP O-line honors at a Nike camp at USC. Mulitalo is the cousin of Ryan Mulitalo, who signed with BYU last February.
Others who have pledged to the Cougars are Pleasant Grove tight end Bryan Sampson, Hawaii defensive lineman Hauoli Jamora, Texas lineman Tayo Fabuluje, Texas linebacker Teu Kautai, California linebacker Zac Stout, Texas wide receiver Ross Apo, Washington quarterback Jake Heaps, Bingham lineman Tuni Kanuch, California running back A.J. Moore, California linebacker Collin Keoshian, Kansas lineman Travis Tuiloma, Hawaii lineman Graham Rowley, Alta lineman Jordan Black, Pleasant Grove linebacker Joey Owens, Skyline running back Algernon Brown and Timpview lineman Bronson Kaufusi.
